Description

The Fetherstone memorial, located approximately 15 meters south of the Church of St Mary, is a chest tomb dating from the early 18th century. It is made of sandstone ashlar and has a rectangular plan with a moulded capping and a submerged base. The tomb features incised borders around plain inscription panels. The west end panel is decorated with a round-headed arch motif and the initials PD. This memorial commemorates Richard Fetherstone, who died in 1705, along with other members of the family.
