Description

Rock Farmhouse is an 18th-century farmhouse, altered in the 19th century. It is constructed of sandstone rubble with remnants of a timber frame and has a 20th-century tiled roof. The house follows an L-shaped plan, incorporating a through-passage and chimney stacks to the west and east, with further additions to the east. The farmhouse has two storeys, attic space, and a cellar. The north front displays the gable end of a wing to the right, characterised by raised verges and a finial. A single 2-light casement window is in the gable, with a sash window with glazing bars below. Further windows include two 2-light cross-casement windows to the left, and a 3-light window to the ground floor to the left of the doorway. A 19th-century gabled porch shelters a 6-panelled door, above which is a plain overlight. The interior was not inspected.
