Description
This is an implement shed with a loft and an attached granary, located approximately 15 meters east of Lewstone Farmhouse. It dates from the late 18th century and has been altered over time. The structure is built from sandstone rubble and features a roof that is partly slate and partly stone, with corrugated metal on the granary.
The building has a rectangular plan that is aligned southwest to northeast. It consists of a three-bay implement shed with a central entrance, flanked by floored bays that have cambered heads to the doorways. The upper floor has square-headed openings. Adjoining the southwest side is a two-storey granary, which has a slightly lower roof level and two bays. There are steps leading up to a doorway on the left side, a square-headed window on the right, and two additional doors on the ground floor. The building features altered collar-and-tie-beam trusses with inclined struts and retains smeared render on its exterior.
