Description

Bridge House is a house dating back to the 17th century, which was significantly altered in the early 19th century. It is primarily timber-framed with painted brick infill, although the east front is brick-faced. The roof is tiled. Originally an L-shaped house facing east, it has been extended to the rear (west) and to the north. A south gable end stack and a further lateral stack, partially enclosed at the rear, are present. The east front has two storeys and three windows, each with segmental heads and 2-light sash windows with glazing bars. The entrance is positioned to the left of centre and features a gabled canopy supported by brackets, a moulded architrave, and a partly-glazed door. At the rear, the timber framing is largely complete, consisting of four panels from sill to wall-plate with V-struts in the gable.
