Description

Bridge Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is timber-framed with painted brick infill and has a tiled roof. The building consists of two framed bays that are aligned north to south, with the north gable end facing the street. The entrance is located to the left of the center in the gable end, and there is a stack at the south end. The cottage is a single storey with an attic, featuring a 2-light casement window in the attic. To the right of the 20th-century neo-Georgian door, there are two 20th-century glazing bar windows set within square panels of framing. The framing is largely intact, with three square panels extending from the sill to the wall-plate, and V-struts in the gable.
