Description
This is a house located at 97 Bridge Street in Leominster, dating from the early 17th century. It features a timber-frame and plaster construction, with a roof covered in plastic sheeting and a brick axial stack at the rear. The building has two storeys and a two-window range, including a part-blocked 19th-century casement set within chevron-braced framing.
The entrance is located to the left and consists of a studded and battened plank door within a moulded case. Plywood sheeting obscures what is likely close-studding, and there are two three-light casements above. A moulded bressumer spans the structure. On the right side, the chevron-braced framing is visible, along with a bressumer and a 19th-century three-light window that contains some leaded lights. There is an opening above with moulded jambs, prentice-boards, and a moulded barge-board.
Inside, the house features stop-chamfered ceiling frames and winder stairs.
