Description
This is a barn located about 20 yards west of Home Farmhouse, likely built in the 18th century with a later extension. It is constructed from sandstone rubble and timber-frame with brick infill, topped with a Welsh slate roof. The barn has 6½ bays running north to south. The east elevation features a full-height ledged entry in the second bay from the left, while the right side of the entry is obscured by a large late 20th-century barn. To the left of the entry, the frame is exposed, and there is a ledged door set in the rubble. The south gable extension is made of sandstone rubble. The west elevation is also hidden by a large late 20th-century barn. The frame consists of four square panels high from the cill to the wall-plate. Inside, there are queen struts to collars that support V-struts, and some concrete has been used to underpin the wall-post. This barn is notably large. Home Farmhouse, previously known as Cottage Farmhouse, is not included in this listing.
