Description

The building comprises a barn, cowshed, and enclosing wall forming a foldyard, the barn having been converted into a house. It likely dates from the late 18th century, with 20th-century restoration and conversion work. The structure is built of gorsley stone rubble. The barn has a pantiled roof and the cowshed has a slate and corrugated metal roof. The barn is a three-bay building, aligned north/south, forming the east enclosure of the yard. A wall adjoins the yard to the north and west, extending westwards with a cowshed on the north side of the yard. There is an entrance to the foldyard on the west side. The barn originally had a central threshing floor entrance with a gabled porch on the east side, flanked by rows of loop vents, now slightly enlarged and glazed. The cowshed is open to the south, facing the yard, with timber posts on stone plinths and king post trusses.
