Description
Dunwood Farmhouse and the attached granary are a farmhouse and granary structure dating from the early 17th century, with some alterations from the early 19th century and late 20th century. The building features a timber frame with painted brick and rendered infill set on a rubble plinth, topped with a slate roof. It consists of three framed bays aligned north to south, with an additional lower framed bay and a bay of brick and rubble that contains the granary to the north.
The west front has two storeys and includes two 2-light casements on the right side, three windows, a fixed casement on the left, followed by a 3-light and a 4-light casement. The lower range to the left also has two storeys with two 2-light casements on each floor. The entrance, located to the left of these windows, features a half-glazed door from the 20th century. Access to the granary is provided by external wooden steps leading to a door on the first floor. The framing of the building consists of four square panels high, and the gable-end truss includes two collars and trenched purlins.
