Description

Ankerdine House is an early 19th-century building with a stuccoed front and a hipped slate roof. It has two storeys, featuring four casement windows with horizontal glazing bars on the first floor. The ground floor includes French windows with horizontal glazing bars and a glazed and panelled door located to the left of centre. A verandah on the ground floor has a concave glazed iron roof supported by elaborate cast iron supports, which also feature an iron frieze. Ankerdine House adjoins Rutland Lodge and is part of a group that includes The Cottage, St Michael's, Rutland Lodge, and South Parade House with gate piers to the northwest.
