Description

The Cottage is an early 19th-century house that has a stuccoed exterior. It features a low-pitched, slated hipped roof with wide eaves. The building has two storeys, with three casement windows on the first floor that include horizontal glazing bars. The ground floor has a verandah with a glass roof supported by iron trellised supports, which are connected by ornamental arches. There are two French windows on the ground floor, also with horizontal glazing bars and louvred shutters, along with a central glazed and panelled door. The Cottage is part of a group that includes St Michael's, Ankerdine House, Rutland Lodge, and South Parade House with gate piers to the northwest.
