Description
South Parade House, built in the early 19th century, is a two-storey house constructed of red brick with a stuccoed front. It features a low-pitched hipped slate roof topped with a small oblong lantern at the apex. The façade includes three windows and is adorned with four Corinthian pilasters that rise from the ground to the eaves, each decorated with garlands beneath their caps. The windows are casement style with glazing bars. A verandah with an ogee-shaped zinc-clad roof is supported by iron supports. Additionally, there are wrought cast iron gate piers with vase finials located to the northwest of the house. South Parade House, along with The Cottage, St Michael's, Ankerdine House, and Rutland Lodge, forms a group of significant buildings.
