Description

Gloucester House is a large 18th-century house located at right angles to the road. It is constructed of red brick and features a stuccoed parapet with a wide cornice adorned with modillions. The building has three storeys and three windows, which are sash windows with glazing bars and flat brick arches that include keyblocks. The ground floor has a central French window. The entrance, which faces the road, includes a doorway with a large pediment and cornice, twin enriched brackets, panelled reveals, a fielded panel door, and a rectangular fanlight. There are sash windows above the entrance. Gloucester House is part of a group that includes Nos 39 to 45.
