Description

The Lucy monument, located about 6 yards east of the south porch of the Church of St Bartholomew, is a chest tomb dedicated to John Lucy, who died in 1760. It is made of finely cut sandstone and features a flat top with moulded edges. Each side of the tomb has advanced sections above and below the inscription panels, and it is adorned with gadrooned corner balusters that have a rectangular plan.
