Description

The ruins of Lyonshall Castle date mainly from the 13th century, although there may be earlier origins. Surviving sections of low sandstone rubble walls indicate the location of the former circular keep, as well as some parts of the wall that once enclosed the inner bailey to the southeast of the keep.
