Description

A house, dating to the 15th century, with a 17th-century cross-wing, and further alterations in the 20th century. It is now divided into two separate living spaces. The construction is timber-framed, with a base of sandstone rubble, some painted brick infill, and some pebble dash render. The roof is a mix of tiles and stone slate. The main section of the house comprises three bays, aligned east to west, with the 17th-century cross-wing added to the west. A former passage running through the building has been blocked off. There are chimney stacks on the north and west sides. The main block is a single storey with an attic. On the north-facing front, there is a dormer window with a two-light casement. On the ground floor, there’s a two-light casement window, a similar window to the right of a projecting chimney stack, and a 20th-century entrance door with a side light. The gable end of the cross-wing is on the right, featuring a three-light casement window. Inside the main hall, two damaged cruck trusses remain.
