Description

Lower Lodge is an early 19th-century former lodge associated with Lugwardine Court. Constructed from sandstone ashlar with a thatched roof, the building has a polygonal plan. It features an entrance on the south side and a central stack with two diagonally planned shafts. Raised pilaster strips define the edges of the building, and there is a four-pane window on each face. A 20th-century glazed porch with a 20th-century door has been added to the south, alongside later additions to the east and north.
