Description
The lych gate, built around 1877 and likely designed by G E Street, is located about 15 metres north-west of the Church of All Saints. It features a timber frame with some brick infill and is topped with a shingle roof. The structure has a square plan, with the entrance front showcasing turned corner posts, a moulded tie-beam with pierced boarding above, and inscribed bargeboards. A pair of wooden gates with open square panels is hung on moulded posts. The side walls are half-glazed with leaded lights and are gabled. The tie-beam bears the inscription "In Memoriam Henrii Baker Quondam Vicarii," while the bargeboards display the phrase "I will go into thy gates with thanksgiving/ and into thy courts with praise."
