Description
Nos. 4, 6, and 8 on Widemarsh Street are a late 18th-century house that has been converted into shops. The building is constructed of brick and features a slate roof. It stands four storeys high and likely has a cellar. The façade has a three-window range with 8/8 sash windows in beaded cases, which are set under gauged brick flat arches. The second and third floors have 4/8 and 4/4 sash windows, also under gauged brick flat arches. The eaves are adorned with a moulded brick modillion.
To the left, there is a 20th-century shop front, while an early 20th-century shop window is located to the right. A two-storey wing on the right side includes a single 6/6 sash window under a segmental arch, with a blocked opening above it and 20th-century coping. On the left, there is a half-glazed door with a margin-glazed overlight in a moulded case, and a plate-glass window in a moulded case under a segmental arch.
