Description
These barns and hop kilns, located approximately 20 metres northeast of Upper Wintercott, date from the 16th, 17th, and 19th centuries. Originally serving as a barn, warehouse, and hop kilns, they are now used as a workshop and storage. The buildings feature a combination of timber-frame and plaster, brick, and rubble construction, with roofs made of plain tile, Welsh slate, and corrugated asbestos. The structure is L-shaped and consists of two storeys with various windows, openings, and entrances. Inside, you can find exposed timber-framing, massive ceiling beams, and a dogleg staircase.
