Description
This building is a barn and granary from the late 18th century, located approximately 50 meters northeast of Pembridge Castle. It is constructed from sandstone rubble, with a 20th-century roof on the barn and stone slates on the granary. The barn features six bays, while the adjoining granary has five bays and includes a cart shed, forming the northern enclosure of the foldyard, with stables to the east and another barn to the south.
Inside the barn, there is a central threshing floor with draught doors and lifts, three rows of loop vents, and inclined strut trusses. The granary is two stories high and has five bays, with four square-headed windows that partly retain their wooden mullions. There are steps leading up to the granary doorway, which is positioned to the right of the center. Additionally, there is a wide cart entry on the west gable end.
