Description

This is a dovecote located about 20 yards north of Eardisley Park, dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of handmade brick and features a pyramidal stone-tiled roof, which is laid in diminishing courses. At the top, there is a timber lantern topped with a ball finial and a weathervane. The dovecote has a square plan and consists of two levels. On the south side, there is a wide archway with a cambered head. Inside, the upper level contains approximately 250 nesting boxes arranged in seven tiers on all four sides, complete with alighting ledges.
