Description
15 The Homend is an 18th-century building constructed of stucco, featuring three storeys and two windows with 16-pane sash designs, complemented by rusticated lintels and keyblocks. The building has a projecting shop front that likely dates from the Victorian period or early 20th century. At the top, there is a parapet with a rectangular panel and a moulded cornice, along with slim pilasters on either side. Attached to the rear is a small early 17th-century timber-framed cottage, which has plastered panels and brick nogging, a tiled roof with gable ends, a fielded panel door, and casement windows. This property is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 21 (odd) and Nos 1 to 5 (consecutive) on Church Street.
