Description
Builth Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse that has been converted into a dwelling. It features coursed sandstone and timber-frame construction, with a slate roof and end stacks. The building has a rectangular plan and is two storeys high, with a total of four windows on the east entrance elevation. The left side is made of rubble with a roof verge, while the windows, which are a mix of late 19th-century and mid-20th-century casements, are placed irregularly, except for the left part. The right side is rendered rubble and includes a forward projecting single-storey mid-19th-century addition with an entrance located in the inside return. The central section showcases exposed three-bay timber-framing, consisting of two panels high from the cill to the girding beam, with an additional two panels up to the wall-plate. The right gable features a ledged and studded 17th-century door set in a deep sandstone rubble plinth.
