Description
Eau Withington Court is a house dating from the late 18th century. It features painted brick construction with some timber framing at the rear and has a hipped slate roof with side chimneys. The building has a simple dolls house box shape, standing three storeys tall with one-bay single storey wings on either side. The main part of the house has five windows, which are glazing bar sashes, with smaller proportions on the second floor. There is a central panelled door topped by a tall overlight with Gothick glazing. The side wings have 20th-century casements and ramped parapets that hide the roofs. At the rear, there are two gables and an additional gabled projection, which is timber-framed with irregular square and rectangular panels, illustrating the late survival of the timber-frame tradition even in more refined buildings. As of November 1984, solar panels were installed below the ridge on the front roof slope.
