Description
Hrempis Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 18th century, with later extensions from the 18th and 19th centuries. It is constructed of red brick, featuring some blue brick chequering, ashlar, and rubble, topped with a concrete pantile roof. The building has a wooden bracketed eaves cornice and includes a left external gable and two red brick stacks at the rear. The gables are rendered and coped, with kneelers supported on ashlar, and there is a rubble plinth. A red and blue brick chequered band runs along the first floor, as well as a band above the first floor lintels. The farmhouse is two storeys plus a garret and has three bays. The central doorway features a 20th-century door, with single tripartite glazing bar sashes on either side. All ground floor openings have cornices integrated into the wall. Above, there are three glazing bar sashes. The rear of the farmhouse includes the later 18th and 19th-century extensions.
