Description
The Old Rectory is a rectory that has been converted into a house. It dates from the late 18th century and has undergone early and late 19th-century alterations and extensions. The garden front features painted stucco over brick, with some half-timbering and ashlar elements. The roof is slate, with a single ridge and rear red brick stacks on the right gable. The right gable has ashlar coping with a kneeler and a plinth in parts.
The building is two storeys high and consists of six bays. The rightmost bay includes a two-storey early 19th-century bow, which has three glazing bar sashes on each floor and continuous sill bands. To the left of this bay, there is a single blind glazing bar sash, a doorway with a glazed door, and a single 19th-century five-light sash. The next bay to the left projects and is late 19th-century, featuring a gabled design with decorative bargeboarding and half-timbering on the first floor, while the ground floor has two low glazing bar sashes. On the far left, there is a single 19th-century four-light sash. Above it, there are two glazing bar sashes; to the left in the gabled bay is a single four-light sash, and on the far left, there is a single 19th-century three-light sash. At the rear, there is an earlier wing.
