Description
Number 15 and the adjoining cottage are two cottages that were originally a house, built in the early 18th century and altered in the 20th century. They were designed and constructed for Sir Thomas Parkyns of Bunny Hall. The building is made of red brick with some ashlar and features a pantile roof. It has double ridge and left gable red brick stacks, with brick coped gables and kneelers. A 20th-century brick plinth is present. The structure has two storeys plus a garret and consists of four bays. The ground floor openings have been altered, featuring two 20th-century tripartite glazing bar casements. To the right and left of these are single doorways with 20th-century doors, and further to the right is another similar casement. Above are four two-light ashlar mullion windows, with the second from the right now blocked. There is a lean-to at the rear. Sir Thomas Parkyns Bart. (circa 1662-1741) made significant improvements to and rebuilt nearly all of Bunny according to his own designs.
