Description
The building is a stable located behind Number 15 on Main Street in Bunny, dating from the early 18th century. It was likely designed and built for Sir Thomas Parkyns of Bunny Hall. The structure is made of red brick and features a pantile roof, with a right gable and a single ridge red brick stack. The brick coped gables have kneelers. The stable is two storeys high and has three bays. There is a doorway with a plank door, to the right of which is a single tripartite casement window, and on the far right, there is a large doorway with double doors. Above these, the remains of two tripartite casements and a single small central casement can be seen. Sir Thomas Parkyns Bart (circa 1662-1741) made significant improvements to Bunny, rebuilding much of it according to his designs. This stable is included in the register for its group value.
