Description

Manor House Farmhouse is a house that dates from the 16th century, with alterations from the 17th and 19th centuries. It features a combination of timber frame, rubble, render, red brick, and some ashlar, topped with a slate roof. The building has single external stacks on both the left and right sides, as well as two rear stacks made of red brick. The gables are adorned with decorative bargeboards from the 19th century.

The structure is two storeys high and consists of three bays. The right two bays are timber framed, while the left single bay is made of rubble and brick. The outer single bays project slightly, with the left and central bays featuring gables. The right single bay has a first-floor jetty, and the central bay may also have a first-floor jetty and a jetty over the first-floor opening.

A central segmental arched doorway with an overlight and marginal lights leads into an inner porch, which contains an inner plank and stud door with a decorative overlight. To the left of the doorway is a single segmental arched tripartite casement, and to the right is another single tripartite casement. Above these, there is a single casement with a segmental arched tripartite casement to the left and a quadripartite casement to the right, both set under a gable. The right single bay shows evidence of possible herringbone framing. At the rear, there are red brick and slate wings resting on rubble plinths.
