Description

The Nook is a cottage dating to 1718. It is constructed of red brick, with some blue brick chequering. The roof is covered in pantiles. A central ridge stack is made of red brick. A first-floor band incorporates blue brick chequering. The cottage is two storeys high and has three bays. The doorway is positioned off-centre and features a panelled door, a panelled reveal, and a moulded surround. Single glazing casements are located on either side of the doorway, positioned under segmental arches that also feature blue brick chequering. Above these are two Yorkshire sash windows with glazing bars. The right gable wall is inscribed with the date "1718" in blue brick. The left gable wall has a blue and red brick Tudor-style hoodmould.
