Description
The building is a barn, dating from the early 18th century, located to the west of and adjacent to Number 17 on Main Street in Bunny. It was designed and built for Sir Thomas Parkyns of Bunny Hall. The barn is constructed of red brick and features a pantile roof. It has remnants of a red brick stack on the left gable and brick coped gables with kneelers, all set on a plinth. The structure is single storey and includes 15 slit ventilators. The rear side has two large doorways with double doors, along with a single glazing bar fixed light to the left. Sir Thomas Parkyns Bart. (circa 1662-1741) made significant improvements and rebuilt much of Bunny according to his own designs. This building is included for its group value context.
