Description

Old Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1713. It is constructed of red brick with a rendered coursed rubble plinth and features a pantile roof with brick coped gables and kneelers, along with a single gable and single ridge stacks. The building is two storeys high with a garret and has an L-plan layout with a baffle entrance. It consists of five bays and includes a first-floor band.

A central projecting coped, gabled, single-storey porch with a segmental arch over the entrance is a notable feature. The interior door is panelled with a plain surround. On either side of the porch, there are two transom and mullion wooden casement windows with glazing bars and segmental arches above. Above the porch, there is an ashlar plaque inscribed with 'This house built by ........ ell .... 1713', flanked by two windows with similar casements. The porch is supported by four S-shaped tie plates, with an additional tie plate between the left and ground floor to the west.

At the rear, there is a two-storey single bay wing with a stair window, which has similar casements as the north front. To the east, there is a later single-storey extension made of red brick and pantile, featuring a single stack. Inside, the farmhouse has two inglenook fireplaces; one is located behind the central doorway, while the other, found in the room to the east, includes an oven.
