Description

These are two dwellings dating from the 18th century, with the ground floor subsequently converted into two retail units in the 20th century. The building is constructed of brick with timber shopfronts and a clay pantile roof, featuring two gable stacks. The rectangular plan has a principal facade facing northeast.

The building is three storeys high and five bays wide. Two late 19th-century timber shopfronts are at ground floor, set beneath a continuous 20th-century fascia. A 20th-century six-panel door is centrally located, east of number 50. To the left of the door is a recessed, glazed doorway flanked by single-pane windows on plain stallrisers. To the west, there is a single plate glass window on brick stallrisers. The first-floor windows are six-over-six sash windows, with the second from the east being blank. The second-floor windows are three-over-three sash windows, all with segmental heads. A dentilled cornice sits below the eaves and the pantile roof.
