Description

The stables at Beesthorpe Hall, built in the mid-18th century, are constructed of brick with a dressed stone plinth and feature a hipped plain tile roof. The building has cogged eaves and a central gable that is pedimented and coped, topped with ball finials. It is two storeys high and consists of five bays, with two ridge stacks and one sidewall stack. The main east front includes a projecting central bay that features a two-storey round-headed recess containing a central stable door with a fanlight. To the left of this door is another door with an overlight in an altered window opening, followed by a single window. To the right, there is a window and another door with a fanlight. Above the central bay, there is a doorway with a segmental head flanked by two windows, and above that, a clock is set within the pediment. The rear elevation has a door to the left, which is flanked by a casement window on the left and two casement windows on the right. Further to the right, there is another door and a small casement window. All openings on this elevation also have segmental heads, and above them is a louvred ventilator.
