Description

This is a memorial urn located in Ice House Wood, dating from 1802 and created by Coade and Sealy. The urn is made of ashlar and Coade stone. It features a square ashlar plinth with two steps, leading up to a square ashlar pedestal that has a moulded plinth and cornice. On the east face of the pedestal, there is a partially erased inscription referring to Henry Hamilton, along with a verse below it. At the top, there is an egg-shaped, swagged urn in the Adam style, which originally had a domed cap, but the finial and handles are now missing.
