Description

No. 20 Kirkgate is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the late 18th century and has been altered in the mid and late 20th century. The building is constructed of brick with a colourwashed front and has a pantile roof. It features rebated eaves, a single gable, and single ridge stacks. The structure has three storeys and includes a single segment-headed glazing bar sash window. Above this, there is a 20th-century casement window with a smaller casement to the left. The shopfront is pilastered and has a recessed half-glazed door to the left, along with a shop window that features a triple ovelight to the right. This building is included for its group value.
