Description
Garden House is a gardener's cottage built between 1838 and 1840 by A. Salvin, designed in the Jacobean revival style. The structure is made of brick and features a plain tile roof with deep bracketed eaves and two banded, corniced gable stacks. It has two storeys and two bays, with a square plan. The windows are cross and mullioned leaded casements. On the east front, there is a 20th-century lean-to porch on the right with a concrete tile roof. The central doorcase has rebated pilasters and carved brackets supporting the cornice. Above the doorcase, there is a panel on a strapwork bracket with a hood mould, which contains an encircled 'S'. Above this, there is another panel displaying Arms, flanked by single windows, with two additional windows above.
