Description
The Old Vicarage is a house that was formerly a vicarage, dating from the 17th century, with 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of coursed rubble and brick, with timber framing above that is mostly rendered. The roof is steeply pitched and covered with pantiles, featuring two coped gables with kneelers and two gable stacks along with a single ridge stack. The building has an L-shaped plan and the main facade is two storeys high with garrets, consisting of four bays. The windows are arranged irregularly, with three on the ground floor and three above, all featuring either two or three lights with 20th-century glazing bar casements. On the west side, there is an 18th-century doorway set in a moulded wood case with scrolled brackets supporting a hood, which contains an 18th-century door with six fielded panels. A large 20th-century glazed timber porch has also been added, along with further irregular windows from the 19th and 20th centuries.
