Description
Greystones is a 17th-century farmhouse constructed from coursed blue lias rubble and brick, featuring a steeply pitched pantile roof with a single gable and ridge stacks, and a coped gable on the south side. The building has four bays and is two storeys high, plus garrets. The entrance is through an off-centre 20th-century close-boarded door, which is flanked to the north by two 2-light casements and to the south by a single 3-light casement. On the upper floor, there is a single 2-light glazing bar casement, along with a single 2-light and a single 3-light casement, all of which are 20th-century replacements. There is a rebuilt 19th-century addition to the south, which is one storey and one bay, featuring 20th-century windows. Inside, the farmhouse has a large fireplace with a bressummer and a 17th-century staircase with splat balusters and a square turned newel.
