Description
Strouds is a building consisting of three houses that have been converted into a shop and storerooms. It was constructed in the mid 18th century and around 1870. The structure is made of brick and features slate roofs. The houses at numbers 3 and 5 have a dentillated wooden cornice, while number 7 has coved brick eaves. The shopfront, which was added in the mid 20th century, spans the full width of the building and is made of faience with rendered lintels. There are two gable stacks and one ridge stack. The building has three storeys, with a taller six-bay section on the left and a shorter three-bay section on the right. The symmetrical ground floor includes three glazed doors and six windows. The main block above has six glazing bar sash windows, one of which is blank, and above that, there are six smaller sashes, three of which are blank. The lower block features three plain sashes above and three smaller sashes above that.
