Description
This is a pair of houses, originally two properties, now used as shops and residential flats, dating to the late 18th century. They were altered in the mid-19th century and subsequently restored in the late 20th century. The buildings are constructed of brick, with a rendered right return, and feature a pantile roof and three gable stacks. They have a plinth, a band marking the first floor, and dentillated eaves. The buildings are two storeys high, with a four-window arrangement. There are four 12-pane sash windows. The mid-19th century alterations include two single-pane shop windows with pilastered surrounds and cornices, each being flanked to the right by a 20th-century fielded six-panel door with an overlight. A similar door is present on the right return.
