Description

This is a former coach house, dating from the mid-18th century. It has been altered in the late 19th and late 20th centuries and was converted into a shop around 1970. The building is constructed of painted brick with a hipped roof covered in concrete tiles, and a single, large ridge stack. It has dentillated eaves and is of single storey plus attics. The front elevation has two bays. On the left is a blocked elliptical arched carriage opening, featuring a keystone and impost, which contains a two-light Yorkshire sash window. To the right is a late 20th-century shop front with a recessed door. Above the shop front, on the right, is a gabled through-eaves dormer with a twelve-pane sash window. The right return has a doorway flanked by single windows, all of which are blank and have segment-headed tops. The interior includes an 18th-century winder staircase with a moulded handrail and incomplete stick balusters.
