Description
The Parish Church, built in 1844, is constructed of brick and features Welsh slate and stone slab roofs, along with stone dressings and coped gables with kneelers. The church includes a nave with an apse, a gabled south porch, and a bell turret. The south front showcases a central porch with a coped gable and cross, a four-centred arched doorway with a label mould and a close boarded door, flanked by two double lancets with Y tracery. The apse contains three single lancets and has a pitched roof. The bell turret features a single lancet on each side, modillioned eaves, and a pyramidal slab roof topped with a cross.
Inside, the walls are rendered except for the window reveals. The brick chancel arch has a moulded ashlar soffit, responds, and quoins. At the west end, two wood-cased iron columns support the bell turret. The nave roof includes a tie beam with three decorative pendants, supported by curved brackets on carved wooden corbels. Queen posts with arch braces lead to the purlins, and curved brackets form mouchettes in the spandrels. The apse roof is semi-circular with common rafters. The church has plain 19th-century deal pews and a communion rail from 1898.
The boundary wall is made of brick and features cast iron coping that supports ornate cast iron railings and a gate.
