Description
The stable block at Chase House is an 18th-century structure made of brick with a pantile roof, featuring brick eaves, coped gables, and iron window frames. It stands two storeys high and has three bays. The south front displays a three-bay round-arched blind arcade, with a central close boarded stable door that has a rectangular overlight. This door is flanked by single 19th-century glazing bar ventilators with segmental heads and single oval blocked openings. Above, there are three 19th-century glazed ventilators. The east front features a central two-leaf close boarded carriage door with an unglazed overlight, flanked to the south by a single fixed light and to the north by a close boarded door leading to a lean-to wash-house. Above this, there is a close boarded loft door. The interior includes two loose boxes, a carriage house, and a loft above. This building is included for its group value only.
