Description
The stable at Chestnut Cottage is a late 17th-century structure that features a pigeoncote above. It is built of brick with burnt headers and has a steeply pitched pantile roof. The building has a brick plinth, dentillated eaves, and a single coped gable. It is two storeys high and consists of a single bay. The central stable door is close-boarded and set in a rebated opening with a segmental head, flanked by two oval openings. Above the door, there is a loft opening with a timber lintel. The west gable has brick pigeonholes situated above.
