Description
Lower Hexgreave Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse located in Hexgreave Park. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a hipped slate roof with two lateral ashlar stacks. The building has a moulded eaves cornice and is set on a plinth. It stands two storeys high and consists of five bays. The central doorway is accessed by three steps and has a panelled door, originally featuring six fielded panels, with a Gothick glazing bar overlight above. The doorway is flanked by single pilasters that support an entablature. On either side of the doorway, there are two glazing bar sash windows, with four smaller sash windows above them. There is also a single central blocked opening with painted glazing bars.
