Description

The Hollies is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick with some ashlar and has a roof covered in concrete pantiles. The building features two red brick gable stacks and has dentil eaves. It stands two and a half storeys high and consists of three bays, with a band running along the first floor. The central doorway has a part glazed and panelled door, topped by a traceried overlight and flanked by single fluted pilaster strips. Above the band, there is an ashlar hood. On either side of the doorway are single glazing bar sashes, with three similar sashes above and three smaller similar sashes on the top floor. All ground and first floor openings have flush wedge brick lintels, while the top floor openings feature cambered arches.
