Description
The gateway and flanking walls at Minster churchyard date from the mid-14th century and were restored in the 19th and 20th centuries. They are constructed of ashlar stone and feature gabled stone coping. The gateway has a stepped gabled design topped with a pyramid-roofed finial, which includes a cusped niche on both the east and west sides, adorned with an ogee hood mould. The entrance is defined by a double chamfered round arch with chamfered imposts, and it is complemented by an early 19th-century pendant lamp. Flanking the gateway are curved walls with square piers that have pyramidal caps. Beyond these, there are straight sections of boundary wall on either side, each approximately 15 meters long.
