Description

Millholme Models is a building dating from 1843, originally constructed as a library for John Litchfield. It features red brick with some ashlar stonework and has a hipped slate roof. The structure is single storey and consists of two bays. The entrance includes a vertical panelled door with a wedge ashlar lintel that is inscribed with "Library. Founded by John Litchfield Esquire 1843". To the left of the doorway, there is a single two-light casement window. This building is a rare example of a 19th-century purpose-built village library.
